NOTICE: Applying for your "FIRST" License or Instruction permit.

  • Steps to getting your instruction permit

    • To reschedule or cancel a drive test or behind the wheel lesson, applicant must contact the main office by phone at (206) 878-0198 or by email to aplusgds@gmail.com at least 1 business day (24 hours) prior to the scheduled test/lesson appointment. Weekends and holidays are not considered business days. No refund if you DO NOT cancel your appointment 24 hours prior to your test/lesson.

    Payment is due 48 - 72 hrs prior to your appointment. Add 3% processing fee for all payments made online/credit/debit card.

    What you will need for your driving test:
    • Has your license or permit expired? We provide a "Temporary Driving Permit" for testing purposes ONLY.
    • Insurance: You must provide proof of "current" insurance and registration on the vehicle you will be testing in.
    • Vehicle in good working condition:
      1. Turn lights.
      2. Seatbelts.
      3. Brakes and all brake lights.
      4. Passenger door must open and close from inside and outside.
      5. Driver door window must roll down far enough to allow you to use hand signals.
      6. Mirrors outside left and right and inside rearview.
      7. Windshield wipers, headlights and defroster if weather requires.
    Exams:
    • 1- First attempt Knowledge (written test) - $30
    • 2- Second attempt knowledge test - $20
    • 3- Third attempt knowledge test - Free of charge

      3. Second attempt in your car - $50
      4. First attempt using school's car - $70
      5. Second attempt using school's car - $70
